Ocean Frontier Institute Joins Ocean Visions Research Consortium

The Ocean Frontier Institute (OFI) has joined Ocean Visions as a research consortium member to contribute ocean science expertise and ocean assets toward solving some of the largest challenges in oceans and climate. OFI, a transnational Canadian organization housed at Dalhousie University and Memorial University, Canada, leads at the frontier of ocean research to inform ocean policy and industry to develop a sustainable blue economy.

NOIA Policy Paper on US Carbon Capture Use and Storage

The National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA) has released the policy paper “Carbon Capture, Use, & Storage: An Economic, Employment, & Climate Opportunity for the U.S Offshore Region.” Along with key policy recommendations, the document details the vast advantages that the deployment of carbon capture, use and storage (CCUS) in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico can provide the U.S. to help meet ambitious emissions reduction targets to address climate change.
