Google Street View, which offers an image-based view of street maps, is now offering a virtual tour of the offshore platform, Cygnus, located in the North Sea and operated by Neptune Energy and Spirit Energy. Discovered in 2016 and located 150 km from the coast of the U.K., Cygnus is one of the largest discoveries in the North Sea. The platform exports gas via a 55-km pipeline connection and averages 300 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.

In the virtual tour, viewers can visit the helipad, the control room, the wellhead, the drinking water plant, the medical room, bedrooms, game and cinema rooms, watch interviews with technicians and staff and cross the suspended bridges that connect the two halves of the site.
