Marine Technology Society Seeks New Executive Director

The Marine Technology Society is launching a formal search to identify its next executive director after the resignation of Executive Director Kevin J. Traver in May. While the search is in process, Deputy Executive Director Kevyan Ann Sly will serve as acting executive director.

The Marine Technology Society was incorporated in June 1963 to give members of academia, government and industry a common forum for the exchange of information and ideas. In 2017, MTS initiatives included strengthening and expanding relationships with strategic sectors of the maritime industry, establishing itself as a resource for marine policy makers and modernizing its educational impact.

The society hosts conferences, workshops, facilitates a mentorship program and provides a host of resources including a peer-reviewed industry journal and online access to OCEANS conference proceedings.
