Port of Corpus Christi to Construct New Yard For Wind Turbine Parts

The Port Corpus Christi Commission on Dec. 12, 2017 approved a contract for construction of an additional 25-acre laydown yard for storage of wind turbine components and other breakbulk cargo. The Port of Corpus Christi handled 2,603 pieces of wind turbine cargo in 2015, 2,875 pieces in 2016 and was expected to surpass 3,000 wind turbine components handled in 2017.
