HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding division announced the successful completion of acceptance sea trials for the U.S. Coast Guard‘s newest national security cutter, Calhoun (WMSL 759). During the trial, the ship spent time proving the ship’s systems including performing numerous tests in the areas of propulsion, electric plant, and mission systems.

The U.S. Navy announced that Fincantieri Marinette Marine (FMM) will build a third frigate for its fleet. Fincantieri Marinette Marine was initially contracted by the U.S. Navy to complete a lead ship in the FFG-62, the USS Constellation, in April of 2020, which was valued at around $536 million.
