Super Cables Are Coming
Subsea cable technology has developed since its inception in the 1850s, morphing from copper to coax and, most recently, to fiber. Now, a new approach evolving from fiber will develop into a future architecture based on “super cables” that offer much higher capacity and almost limitless flexibility.
